The time has finally come that we can announce a super exciting thing that happened at the studio last summer.... The cast of "Counting On" came to the Creative Art Studio last August!!
The cast & crew were so easy & sweet to work with. My friends rallied to help me and went way above and beyond what they expected to have to do. Who knows if it'll be 2 seconds or 2 minutes of air time, but what a fun & exciting experience! And, they did film most of the time during a 3 hour visit!
The show is "Counting On" and our scene will be on the Season 3 Premiere on January 16th on TLC from 9-10pm. (It is the last 8 Minutes of this episode!) It will highlight the planning of and wedding of Jinger & Jeremy, which is where the studio comes in! They had taken a trip to visit Ava Laurenne Bride shop to shop/choose a wedding gown. And, then, after dinner, came to paint paintings for the engaged couple with us!
A couple of highlights for me were painting the teeny tiny couple getting engaged on the top of a skyscraper during a gorgeous sunset in NYC. It had rained all day, until minutes before he proposed. And, then a gorgeous sunset appeared over the NYC skyline. And, having Michelle Duggar, the Mom, ask me to sing "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" after discovering I'm a "Princess" (Owner of Princess Parties Virginia), too. Yay!
We can't wait to see what is aired, but I'm just excited to share the fun and happy news of being a part of the show.
Sometimes... you're just livin'!
Press Release:
Local Art Studio Hosts TLC Channel “Counting On” TV Series Taping That will Air on January 16th
Local Artist, Creative Teacher and Paint Party Hostess Rebecca Russell, (aka Queen Rebecca - Princess Parties Virginia Entertainment Proprietor) was pleasantly surprised earlier this year when “TLC” Television channel contacted her to host a Painting Party for their TV series ‘Counting On”, the spinoff TV show from TLC's popular “The Duggars, 19 Kids and Counting”.
Most days you can find the Painting Party Princess in her paint spattered clothing, guiding a group of eager painters from beginning to end, stroke by stroke, until their piece of art magically appears on their canvas, or illustrating a children’s book. Both the Creative Art Studio and Russell are filled with positive energy, creativity, a warm light and art - lots and lots of fun, whimsical art. “I have been an obsessed painter & crafter for 13 years.. It’s my wildest passion. Having this studio to share the beauty & happiness of art with people, is a dream come true!” With over 1,400 likes on her ‘Creative Art Studios’ Facebook pages, which is her primary avenue to let her students request, view and sign up for her upcoming classes, her popularity is growing as well as the range of the studio as new instructors have been added and offerings such as a variety of Craft Parties, Anime and Manga Drawing classes, Art Journaling classes and Reflexology classes.
Russell, who has been a Princess Party Entertainment Proprietor for the last 10 years, has recently purchased The Creative Art Studio at 7001 Harrison Rd, in The Harrison Crossing shopping district of Fredericksburg, VA, where she has been able to offer her public and private parties, Birthday parties for young and old, and even art lessons to groups of up to 50 people. Naturally when “TLC” channel called her, Russell was nervous about the prospect of being on TV and having such a short time to prepare for the taping. But, she very excited about the opportunity to share in this very special show. You see, the cast of this popular reality TV show were coming to create paintings that were to be wedding gifts for the soon to be married, Jinger Duggar and her Beau Jeremy.
Now, the TLC “Counting On” wedding show has already aired as last season’s finale, but the show taped at Rebecca Russell’s local Creative Art Studio is scheduled to be aired on the TLC channel January 16th. “I don’t know if it will be 30 minutes or 30 seconds but I am super excited to see it.”, said Russell. Meanwhile, this paint party “soon to be TV star” princess will patiently wait. Her time will pass quickly, however, as she has upcoming classes and parties scheduled at least 5 days a week, including weekends. For more information on The Creative Art Studio, the upcoming “Counting On” TV show, or how you can attend or schedule a painting party, contact her at www.creativestudiofred.com, artstudiobecca@gmail.com or 703.973.4422...
